Poetry on walls

I saw this on Honestly...WTF, and I loved it

To do something similar in your own home, get some stencils and paint and your favorite poem or quote... then open out the windows so your air is less toxic paint smelling...
and BAM the room is officially awesome.

Easy peasy

Where to buy vegan shoes?

Helllooo!!
Because one of my many goals for myself is to go vegan, I thought I'd share some of my experiences, in case it was something you guys were considering doing because I'm still figuring this out too.

Since we were on the topic of shoes already, I thought we could start there.

After completely failing to cut diary out of my diet, I have gone on a leather-free (and all other kinds of fur/skin -free) shopping diet which is probably a good first step for veganizing my stuff .
When I first decided to do this, I had no idea where to get shoes, which are incidentally the only things I used to buy that were made of leather.

The only place that sold vegan shoes I knew of was Forever 21 , but the fabulously low price is kind of seen in the quality of its products... And with my bad ankles and knees it seemed like a bad idea. So I did some research. Here are some of the things I found:

Decoupage and Shoes...

At the end of the year, I always seem to have a pair of shoes that I loved so much I wore them to death...
And then I have to throw them away because they would be too awful to continue to wear or donate, which makes me sad because most shoes aren't very compostable... Plus the most comfortable shoes seem to be the ones that are well used
So this year I am determined to rescue the latest pair from the landfill and make fabulous again. Especially since the shape and soles are still intact, it just looks like I put them in the blender or something
This video by on Threadbanger gives these poor guys hope:

She uses paper, but you can use fabric too I think. And you can decopage on anything-- just ask her husband haha
